Return home and clean the sub floor with your vinegar and water solution and allow it to dry. Next spray the sealant on the dry sub floor and allow it to dry. Then replace the section of pad you removed and use the masking tape to bind the edges of the old and new padding. Now just use the knee kicker to replace the carpet and you are done.
